Helene Fuchs

Helene Fuchs created HF Associates in 1989 to help health care organizations improve their existing programs, products, and services and develop new ones. As principal of HF Associates, she fosters collaborations with clients while offering her experience from disciplines as varied as clinical care, education, and management.

Fuchs has substantial knowledge of health care, steeped in both practical experience and insightful research. She holds a Master of Business Administration from Simmons College School of Management and a Master of Education from Tufts University. Having begun her career as a registered dietitian, she has long retained a dedication to patient-centered care with a focus on prevention. She has worked as educational director of the dietetic internship at Brigham and Women's Hospital, overseeing the program's operations, managing interns and staff, developing curricula, and teaching classes. Her clinical experience has focused on providing outpatient nutrition counseling.

After earning her MBA in 1982, Fuchs served as a product manager for the Fidelity Management Group, where she was responsible for researching, designing, developing, and introducing new products. She then worked at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, as the marketing manager for the primary care and multi-specialty practices in the Medical Groups Division. In that capacity, she was instrumental in reorganizing departmental functions during the company’s first merger.

In addition to managing HF Associates, Fuchs has held adjunct faculty positions at Simmons College's Graduate School of Heath Sciences and Brandeis University's Masters of Health and Human Services. She created and teaches in the management course for Tufts Medical Center's dietetic intern graduate students. While on the staff at Brigham and Women's Hospital, she developed clinical nutrition curricula for and lectured at Harvard Medical School and Harvard School of Public Health. In each of her teaching experiences, she has sought out opportunities to mentor and supervise students and interns.

HF Associates is certified through the State Office of Women and Minority Business Assistance (SOWMBA).
